I had one before i bought this one and it lasted years before the painted coating wore off in places. Theyre easy to keep clean too. However , some toilets have slightly wider diameter holes cast in them. This means that the bolts supplied can be a ‘wobble’ fit in the holes causing the seat to eventually move from side to side ( this is common to all types of seat ). I remedied this by ( before fitting ) inserting the bolts through the holes in the seat hinges , then shrinking down some 10mm adhesive lined heatshrink tubing where the bolt would fit the tickness of the ceramic toilet bowl holes. I now have a very tight fitting toilet seat with no chance of it ever moving around. You could obtain the same fit of you can find some sort of plastic tube that fits into the holes on the toilet pan ( approx 10mm od ) and with a smaller hole through the tube ( 8mm id ).
