Very very good toilet seat and a bargain at the price superb.

Looks and feels nice and solid. Thought i was buying a soft-closing model. Maybe i was and i got sent the wrong one. Couldn’t be bothered to send it back after having fitted it (and broke the old one getting it off. Looks and feels nice and solid.

I already had this seat but mine was soft close and had full fittings set. This one is not soft close as advertised and had only very basic fittings. Emailed supplier but have had no response. Had to fit as this is on my 80yr old mums toilet. Bought after being v happy with mine but this one is not as advertised.

Easy to fit and looks really nice (for a toilet seat).

I saw this in a hight street store on sale for £45 (from £60) and am so glad i bought it online. I received it quickly, it was easy to install and it feels like great quality. It has a slow closing lid which makes it better for my children.

Bog standard, but not the one expected. As with other reviewers we were caught out by this being listed under the same name -bemis new york – as b & q sell, but it not being as good. We had bought the b&q one previously (when it was on offer at about £25 from memory – they currently list it at £38) and when we needed another seat for the downstairs loo getting another the same seemed an obvious choice as we particularly thought soft close was a way of protecting little toddler fingers. Unfortunately this version does not have it, and it feels much cheaper. Bottom of the range?there is nothing on the box to say ‘new york’, or anything else for that matter except a code – 4100cp000 – which is one of two different codes on the amazon listing. I suspect this is nothing more than a code mix up, but we do not recommend buying this one.

Product is ok but i feel it’s very mis-leading as i thought it was a soft close lid. Having read the reviews i might not have ordered it if i hadn’t been in such a hurry when i purchased this item.
