Excellent product worth the money. Excellent quality and so easy to fit. The colour is a little darker than the image suggests and that which i wanted but i’ll trade that for the fact that this is so well made. No endless fiddling about with the mounts to get the seat correctly placed and to remain solidly fixed.

Looks fine, unfortunately soft close no longer working after 18 months use (not on a toilet used a lot).

The soft close is a bonus, especially with men around. The colour is a good match too.

Expensive but you only get what you. Expensive but you only get what you pay for .
Great mechanism, shame about the wood. . The closing mechanism and attachment to the bowl are excellent, but the wood is nowhere nearly as nice as presented on amazon. It’s so dark you cant really see an kind of stain to the wood, so it ends up looking not so much mahogany as chocolate painted mdf. Maybe it will lighten up in sunlight eventually?.

Great mechanism, shame about the wood. . The closing mechanism and attachment to the bowl are excellent, but the wood is nowhere nearly as nice as presented on amazon. A classy but flawed way to drop your friends off at the pool. Ok, this item is a classic example of penny pinching spoiling a decent quality product. The wood is a pleasure to sit on and the little product name plate and overall feel really gives you a feeling of (ahem) being “ready to do business”unfortunately though, this feeling is soon shot down when you attempt to “close the deal”, it groans and makes a loud plastic creak when self lowering, it also pivots up on one side when you shift weight to “clean away the condiments”. . In short the mechanism they have incorporated into this quality product to “soft close” came from one of those old 10p plastic egg machines. Only, no food colouring tattoo book. (yeah, am showing my age, youngsters please disregard that last comment). It is also worth mentioning that the bolts supplied were far too short for fixing to the bowl, i had to spend a hour or so shortening the plastic plug inserts and leaving out the various rubber washers just to get the wing nuts to reach the absurdly short bolts. . Come on roper rhodes, really??. This sort of money and you are going to short change me on a couple of bolts???in short, it is a nice seat let down by senseless penny pinching.

Excellent toilet seat and soft close hinges. Well made wooden toilet seat with great soft close hinges. The wood is very smooth and beautifully finished. Fitting proved straight forward with the clear instructions on the box. My only minor problem being the top fix inserts were to big for fitting holes in my toilet pan. However the optional washers and wing nuts proved good alternative being easy to fit to bottom of the fixing bolts. Getting the seat in just the right place was straight forward if you leave the bolts slightly loose and the finally tightening once happy with the position. The quick release on the sides of hinge has the added benefit of allowing the the seat to be removed for cleaning and quickly refitted. The soft close feature works fine in use.
