RTS Groove Toilet seat : Instructions would have been useful

This is a very good standard product. However when we eventually completed our bathroom refurbishment many weeks after purchasing this, we found there was no fixing bolts. I emailed the seller and within days i received the fixing bolts.

Lovely solid item ,good value easy to fit and love the slow close. Very fast delivery ,very pleased with it,looks smart and updated the bathroom beautifully.

Yes the soft closing seat is great but the paint finish on the two seats delivered was not perfect. A couple of areas of bubbling and although plastic wrapped, there were scratches to the paint work. I would class these items as ‘seconds’ if i saw them on sale in a hardware shop. Here are the specifications for the RTS Groove Toilet seat:

  • Suit hinge holes at circa 160mm
  • Seat Measures 370w x 420L mm
  • Suit most standard oval shape toilet pans

Does what it says – a toilet seat. Looks goodgood value for the price – looks more expensive than t is.

Instructions would have been useful. A comfortable seat and i am glad that the slow close prevents slamming of the seat/lid. However, i had never fitted a toilet seat before, and this came with zero instructions. It was a good lot of swearing and trial and error before i got all the various fixtures in the right (i hope) order.

Item arrived after i asked about the delay in delivery – it came within 3/4 days of query. Its as described and i am satisfied with it although it took me quite a while to work out how to put the hinges together as there was no instruction leaflet with the item.

Looks good, a couple of small flaws on the lid but can live with them, one reviewer had probs with the easy remove, i found when you lift the seat and lid upright they come off without any trouble, i was a bit worried about the gloss finish but it is not a really high gloss, overall i am very happy with my purchase, thank you.
